The Nafiu Bala faction of the African Democratic Congress has ordered a halt to nomination form sales as their leadership lawsuit against the David Mark-led faction suffers another court setback.
The Nafiu Bala faction of the African Democratic Congress has directed all parties to suspend the sale and purchase of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms pending the resolution of a leadership dispute before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The directive followed a BoT meeting on Thursday, as the leadership battle between Bala’s faction and the David Mark-led group continues to divide the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
Meanwhile, Justice Emeka Nwite adjourned the substantive leadership suit indefinitely on Friday after the plaintiff applied for the case to be transferred to another judge — a move defence counsel condemned as “forum shopping and judge shopping.”
The Supreme Court had on April 30 dismissed an interlocutory appeal filed by David Mark, clearing the path for accelerated hearing of the matter.

The ADC Board of Trustees Secretary, Rufus Akanmi, warned that anyone purchasing forms despite the directive does so “at their own risk.”
