The Senate has commended the Federal Government for launching Nigeria’s National Halal Economy Strategy, describing it as a bold move to access the estimated $7.7tn global halal market. The commendation was contained in a statement signed by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Finance, Senator Sani Musa.
Musa said the strategy aligns with broader economic reforms and assured legislative backing, noting that “Nigeria’s entry into the global halal economy is both timely and strategic.” He added that the initiative is inclusive and market-driven, pledging full oversight support to ensure effective implementation.
