The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a 38-year-old man, Nsikak Kingsley, for allegedly beating his 65-year-old father, Adone Peter, to death during a violent altercation in Akure, the state capital.
According to a statement by police spokesperson DSP Abayomi Jimoh, the incident occurred in Oda Community, Akure South Local Government Area. Preliminary investigations suggest the confrontation between father and son escalated into a physical attack on May 28, 2026, leading to severe head injuries for the victim. He was rushed to a medical facility but later died despite treatment.
