Atiku to Babachir: Your allegations are baseless, driven by disappointment

Atiku Abubakar has dismissed Babachir Lawal’s claims that the ADC presidential primary was rigged in his favour, calling them baseless and driven by disappointment, according to Tribune Online.

In a statement from his media office, Atiku insisted the election was transparent, widely conducted across wards, and produced a clear outcome. He accused Lawal of offering no evidence while resorting to personal attacks and selective outrage. The statement also questioned Lawal’s credibility, referencing his past controversies and alleging inconsistency in his criticism. Atiku’s camp said the former SGF was undermining democratic processes after failing to secure his preferred outcome. It added that Nigerians are more concerned with economic hardship and insecurity than political grievances. Focus on national issues
