Veteran Nollywood actor Kola Oyewo has passed away at the age of 80. The news was shared on Instagram by Kunle Afod, who had recently visited Oyewo. Afod lauded Oyewo’s significant contributions to Nigerian theatre and film, stating his legacy will endure.
Oyewo began his career with the Oyin Adejobi Theatre Group and later served as a Theatre Arts lecturer at Obafemi Awolowo University. He appeared in notable films such as “Orogun Adedigba” and “Sango.” He had previously mentioned prostate issues impacting his career.
