Venezuela’s Quake Crisis Deepens
The death toll from Venezuela’s recent twin earthquakes has climbed to 589, the government confirmed. Interim President Delcy Rodriguez announced the grim update, as local and international rescue teams continue their urgent search for survivors. The magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 tremors, among the strongest in the country’s history, have overwhelmed hospitals and displaced over 70,000 families in cities like La Guaira and Caracas.
