Two individuals perished on Thursday following a bomb explosion within a drainage channel in Imo State. The blast occurred in Owerri West Local Government Area. The victims, identified as Hyginus Akalonu and Victor Egwu, were suspected scrap metal scavengers who sustained severe burn injuries. They later died at the Federal University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Owerri.
