UK teen arraigned over murder of Nigerian-born, Eghosa Ogbebor on Woolwich

UK police have charged another teenager over the fatal shooting of 14-year-old Eghosa Ogbebor in Woolwich.

A 15-year-old boy has been arraigned before Barkingside Youth Court over the alleged murder of 14-year-old Eghosa Ogbebor in Woolwich, London. The Metropolitan Police said investigations began on April 2 after officers and paramedics responded to reports of a shooting on Lord Warwick Street. “Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and located Eghosa with serious injuries. He sadly died at the scene,” police said.

Authorities confirmed the teenager, whose identity remains protected for legal reasons, was arrested on May 6 and later charged with murder. Earlier, a 16-year-old boy from Romford was also charged in connection with the case. Police added that specialist officers are supporting Ogbebor’s family as investigations continue. Other suspects, including teenagers and adults arrested in April, were granted bail pending further enquiries into the fatal incident. Detectives say inquiries remain ongoing as authorities examine evidence.
