Italian authorities have arrested five African migrants, including two Nigerians, for allegedly drugging, abducting, and gang-raping a Colombian tourist over a three-day period in an abandoned Rome building.
Italian police have arrested two Nigerians and three other African migrants following the alleged abduction and 72-hour gang rape of a 32-year-old Colombian tourist in Rome. The victim was reportedly lured from a restaurant on May 19 under the pretense of a drug sale, forced into a van, and taken to an abandoned building where she was repeatedly assaulted, drugged, and threatened.
The woman eventually escaped and was found half-naked on a pavement by a passerby. Following a raid on the property, police arrested Gambians Saidykhan Lamin and Karamba Kanteh, Malian Harouna Traore, and Nigerians Isibor Wisdom and Paul Nwabueze.
The suspects face charges of aggravated gang rape. Police also discovered 22 undocumented migrants inside the building, transferring 11 to detention centers for deportation, while the search continues for additional suspects.
