President Tinubu has nominated Joseph Tegbe as Minister of Power, pending Senate confirmation, following Adelabu’s resignation.
President Bola Tinubu has nominated Joseph Tegbe as Minister of Power, following the resignation of Adebayo Adelabu to pursue a governorship bid. The nomination, announced on Thursday, has been forwarded to the Senate for screening and confirmation in line with constitutional requirements.
Presidential aide Bayo Onanuga said Tegbe’s appointment is expected to strengthen ongoing power sector reforms and attract investment. “Mr Tegbe, from Oyo State, is a fiscal and economic reform expert with over 35 years of experience spanning the public and private sectors,” Onanuga said, adding that the president expects improved outcomes in the sector.
