“They did ojoro”: Portable slams judges after losing belt to Carter Efe

Following his unanimous decision loss at “Chaos in the Ring 4,” Portable alleged he was cheated by officials and disadvantaged by Carter Efe’s height, though he ultimately found solace in the birth of his new son.

The reign of Habeeb Badmus, better known as Portable, as the celebrity boxing king came to a controversial end at Balmoral Hall. While the judges were unanimous in awarding the victory to skit maker Carter Efe with a score of 30–27, Portable wasted no time in detailing exactly why he believes the result was illegitimate.

According to the “Zazoo” singer, the match was far from a fair fight. Portable claimed he was “robbed” by unprofessional officiating and “ojoro” (cheating). His primary technical grievance centered on the physical disparity between the two fighters. “He was strangling with his long hands and height,” Portable complained, arguing that the organizers ignored the unfair advantage Carter Efe’s reach provided. He further alleged that his own strikes were ignored by the scorers: “I threw him many punches, why didn’t you people count them? Any blow that I threw to him ought to count even if it meets him on the shoulder or hand”.

Despite the sting of defeat and his demands for N200 million in streaming revenue, Portable’s perspective shifted quickly. The loss coincided with the birth of his son, Jamal Iremide. Embracing his new role as a father again, the singer noted that while he missed out on a third belt, he gained something far more valuable. “My wife just gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. I value that more than a belt,” Portable stated, adding, “You can buy the belt, but not my child”. While Carter Efe celebrates his new title, Portable insists his true win happened outside the ring.
