Governor Soludo has dissolved his cabinet and ordered immediate handover by all political appointees as he begins his second term in Anambra State.
Chukwuma Soludo has directed all political appointees in Anambra State to immediately hand over their duties, barely 24 hours after beginning his second term in office. The directive signals the dissolution of the existing cabinet as part of a transition into a new administrative cycle.
The order, conveyed through the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, instructed appointees to transfer responsibilities to Permanent Secretaries or the most senior civil servants in their respective Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs). The handover was to be completed before the close of work on the same day, pending the formation of a new cabinet.
The government also scheduled a meeting with first-term cabinet members for March 23 at the ANSEC Chambers. The move is seen as a strategic step by the governor to reorganise his administration and prepare for the appointment of a fresh executive team.
