Primate Elijah Ayodele commissioned a mosque in Lagos named after Tinubu’s mother, saying it was a divine instruction and a gesture of unity.
The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has commissioned a mosque in Oke-Afa, Lagos, naming it after Abibatu Mogaji, mother of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The event drew religious and political figures, including representatives of Mrs. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo.
Ayodele said: “Building this mosque isn’t because I want attention… it was a divine instruction that I cannot ignore.” On the naming, he added: “I initially wanted to name it Folawuyo Mosque, but God said no. God chose the name.” Clerics and traditional rulers praised the move as promoting unity.
