Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has sparked debate after declaring that ‘there is no vacancy in Aso Rock’, warning those he accused of sponsoring insecurity to desist, Vanguard reports.
Speaking at the APC local government campaign flag-off in Edo South he alleged that rising insecurity is aimed at undermining President Bola Tinubu’s administration insisting the opposition is behind the trend.
He said promoting insecurity would not earn perpetrators political office adding that “even if they kidnap us all there is no vacancy in Aso Rock”.
He also praised ongoing projects under Tinubu’s government and urged support for APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.
