Nigeria may collapse if Tinubu wins second term – Baba-Ahmed

PRP chairman Hakeem Baba-Ahmed warns that worsening insecurity and poverty could destabilise Nigeria if President Tinubu is re-elected in 2027.

The National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has warned that Nigeria may face serious instability if President Bola Ahmed Tinubu secures a second term in office. He made the remark during an interview, citing worsening insecurity, poverty, and social division across the country.

Baba-Ahmed said the current administration appears disconnected from citizens’ realities, adding that rising hardship and limited opportunities have left many Nigerians, particularly youths, disillusioned. According to him, growing mistrust and tension among communities reflect deepening national challenges.

He dismissed claims that opposition to the government is politically motivated, insisting public dissatisfaction stems from real experiences of insecurity and economic hardship. The PRP leader urged urgent reforms ahead of the 2027 elections, warning that continued decline could further destabilise the country.
