Kylian Mbappe netted a brace as France secured a 3-1 victory over Senegal in their 2026 FIFA World Cup group opener. The match took place at the New York New Jersey Stadium.
Despite Senegal starting strongly and hitting the post, France dominated the second half. Mbappe opened the scoring in the 66th minute, followed by a goal from Bradley Barcola. Senegal pulled one back late in the game, but Mbappe’s second strike sealed the win for France.
