Ireland’s fully funded master’s scholarship opens Monday for Nigerians

The Irish Embassy has announced a fully funded Master’s scholarship for Nigerian and Ghanaian professionals, opening June 29.

Dreaming of a Master’s degree abroad without the financial headache? Ireland might just be calling. The Embassy of Ireland in Nigeria has announced that applications for the 2026 Ireland Fellows Programme open Monday, June 29, offering a fully funded one-year Master’s for Nigerians and Ghanaians.

According to The PUNCH, the scholarship targets early and mid-career professionals with at least a Second Class Lower degree and three years’ work experience. It covers tuition, monthly upkeep, accommodation, flights, visa fees and health insurance, basically everything.

Nigerians can also vie for the Roger Casement Fellowship in Human Rights, covering Law, Human Rights and Governance.

Applications close July 26, 2026, via the official portal.
