The Federation Account Allocation Committee has shared N2.257 trillion among the federal government, states and local government councils as April 2026 revenue.
The money has landed.
Premium Times reports that FAAC distributed a total of N2.257 trillion to the federal government, states and local councils at its May 2026 meeting in Abuja. The federal government took home N787.351 billion, states received N772.360 billion, while local government councils got N540.152 billion.
An additional N157.254 billion was shared as derivation revenue to oil-producing states. The total distributable revenue comprised statutory revenue of N1.260 trillion, VAT of N747.088 billion and an augmentation of N250 billion. April’s gross statutory revenue of N2.378 trillion was significantly higher than March’s N1.699 trillion — a jump of N678.224 billion, signalling improving government revenues.
