Defence Minister Christopher Musa has rated the Tinubu administration’s security performance at 65–70 per cent, saying Nigeria has recorded gains against terrorism but still faces persistent kidnapping and school abductions, according to The Punch Newspapers.
He said terrorism has reduced to isolated incidents, but school abductions in Borno, Oyo and other states remain a serious concern. Speaking on ARISE News, he blamed kidnapping partly on social decay and weak values, urging citizens to choose hard work over crime.
He also cited improved intelligence, stronger international partnerships, and a recent covert operation that killed a deputy ISIS commander. He added that cooperation between security agencies and citizens is improving counter-terrorism efforts nationwide.
