Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced fresh reductions in ex-gantry prices of petrol and diesel, easing fuel costs in Nigeria’s downstream market.
According to Tribune Online, the refinery cut Premium Motor Spirit from N1,275 to N1,250 per litre, while Automotive Gas Oil dropped from N1,800 to N1,700 per litre. The N25 petrol reduction and N100 diesel cut mark another shift in pricing within weeks of earlier adjustments. The refinery, owned by Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals, continues to influence market trends as global oil prices fluctuate.
The latest move is expected to reflect gradually in retail stations nationwide, offering modest relief to consumers and transport operators already grappling with high energy costs. Market watchers say further adjustments may follow global trends.
