Toronto police have charged a Canada-based Nigerian, Kayode Roberts, over alleged hate-motivated harassment, assault and threats, with trial set for March 2026.
A Canada-based Nigerian, Kayode Roberts, has been charged by the Toronto Police Service over an alleged hate-motivated criminal harassment case. Police said the incidents occurred between July 1 and December 29, 2025, involving alleged assault, threats and harassment of a neighbour.
The police stated, “During three incidents occurring between July 1 and December 29, 2025, the accused is alleged to have assaulted, threatened to harm, and harassed the victim.” Authorities added the case is being treated as a suspected hate-motivated offence, noting the accused is presumed innocent.
