Presidential aide Daniel Bwala has criticised Peter Obi’s 2027 presidential bid, alleging that the NDC candidate lacks practical solutions despite outlining plans to address Nigeria’s challenges.
President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, on Monday launched a fresh attack on the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, questioning his capacity to lead the country. Bwala’s criticism came days after Obi emerged as the NDC’s flagbearer for the 2027 presidential election.
Obi, a former governor of Anambra State and the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, had outlined a six-point strategy aimed at tackling insecurity, unemployment and economic challenges facing the country if elected president. His emergence as the NDC candidate has continued to generate reactions across the political landscape ahead of the next general election.
Reacting in a post on X, Bwala dismissed Obi’s proposals, claiming they lacked practical implementation plans. “@PeterObi‘s entire political character and ideology is hinged on what, but he doesn’t have a single how to do it,” Bwala wrote. The latest remarks add to the growing political exchanges between supporters and critics of Obi as preparations for the 2027 presidential contest gather momentum.
