Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has called on Muslim organisations across Nigeria to join the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in demanding stronger action from President Bola Tinubu over the country’s worsening security situation. According to Sahara Reporters, Atiku said insecurity has become a national emergency that affects Nigerians regardless of religion, ethnicity or region.
The former presidential candidate urged faith-based groups to unite and put pressure on the government to take decisive steps against kidnappings, banditry and terrorist attacks. He argued that speaking with one voice would send a stronger message to the authorities and help drive urgent action.
The call comes amid growing public concern over persistent attacks and rising insecurity in several parts of the country.
