Adelabu: Police allege family aide aided kidnappers

Fresh details have emerged in the abduction of the sister of former Power Minister Adebayo Adelabu and her twin sons, with the Oyo State Police Command alleging that an insider helped the kidnappers carry out the operation.

Police spokesman DSP Olayinka Ayanlade said investigations uncovered the alleged involvement of a personal assistant attached to the family, who reportedly supplied information about the victims’ movements and daily routine. Authorities believe the suspects initially planned to target another family member before changing their plans based on intelligence received.

According to a report by Vanguard, the victims were rescued during an intelligence-led police operation in Ibadan that led to the arrest of suspects and the recovery of weapons. Investigations are continuing as security agencies hunt for other members of the gang.
