Nigeria’s Accountant-General, Dr. Shamseldeen Ogunjimi, has urged the World Bank for rapid approval and disbursement of project funds, asserting Nigeria’s right to timely consideration as a responsible borrower. He made this plea in Abuja to a World Bank delegation led by Mrs. Treed Lane. The Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF) confirmed that these are repayable loans, not grants, cautioning that delays exceeding six months could jeopardize agreements.
