Jigawa State has officially approved a framework to institutionalize its “Gwamnati da Jama’a” (Government and People) citizen engagement program. This move aims to strengthen public participation in governance, following a successful 10-month implementation across all 27 local government areas. The program facilitates direct interaction between officials and citizens, ensuring their priorities are incorporated into the state’s 2026 budget and future planning.
