Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) has suspended vigils and overnight prayer programmes across Nigeria over growing security concerns.
As Nigerian Tribune reports, the church directed all branches nationwide to ensure that services, meetings and other activities end by 8:00pm until further notice. The instruction was contained in a circular issued by the ministry’s administration and takes immediate effect.
Church leaders said the move is purely precautionary and aimed at protecting members and workers amid the country’s challenging security situation. Where necessary, vigils may be converted into evening prayer sessions, provided they conclude by the new deadline.
MFM also ordered regional and branch leaders to ensure strict compliance as the ministry continues to monitor developments before reviewing the directive.
