Renowned rapper Eedris Abdulkareem has labeled President Bola Tinubu the “worst Nigerian president ever,” criticizing his recent handling of security in Jos and rebuking the President’s son, Seyi Tinubu, for praising the administration.
“Tinubu is the wørst president. Anyone supporting APC, may Nigeria happen to you. He went to Jos to console victims but didn’t visit the affected community. Seyi said he’s doing well, if true, we’ll confirm it” — Eedris Abdulkareem in Edo State pic.twitter.com/CGy11m4xrU

Veteran Nigerian rapper Eedris Abdulkareem has intensified his criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, declaring him the “worst Nigerian president ever” during a recent performance in Edo State. The outspoken musician specifically called out the President’s handling of national insecurity, referencing the controversy surrounding a recent high-profile visit to Jos following the massacre of over 28 people. Abdulkareem questioned the President’s leadership and the optics of his brief airport stopover, suggesting that the heavy security apparatus at the President’s disposal should have enabled a more meaningful engagement with the grieving community. “The commander-In-chief, who has all the security personnel, went to Jos and could not enter the town to console those who lost their loved ones to terrorists,” he stated.
The “Jaga Jaga” crooner also directed his ire toward the President’s son, Seyi Tinubu, who had previously claimed on national television that his father was the best leader in the country’s history. Abdulkareem argued that such an assessment should come from the suffering populace rather than the President’s immediate family. “Tinubu is the biggest fraud, and anyone who supports him may Nigeria happen to you. Nine months ago, Seyi entered national TV claiming that his father is the best president. Seyi, if your father is the best president, you are not the one who would tell us; we would be the ones to tell you,” the rapper declared. He further challenged the younger Tinubu’s perspective, adding, “Seyi, your father is the worst president. If you think you are eating under the APC government and you do not want to talk, may Nigeria happen to you.”
Abdulkareem’s remarks coincide with a period of heightened public discourse regarding the administration’s performance at the midpoint of 2026. His critique of the Jos visit mirrors recent sentiments expressed by other political figures who noted that the President cited a lack of electricity at the airport as a reason for his swift 10-minute departure. By leveraging his platform in Edo State, the rapper has reaffirmed his role as a vocal critic of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), continuing a decades-long tradition of using music and performance to address perceived government failures. As of Tuesday, April 7, the Presidency has not issued an official response to the rapper’s latest viral broadside.
