The Delta State branch of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has officially disowned a histology report paraded by relationship coach Blessing Okoro, clarifying that the document was a falsified version of a 2025 breast cancer result belonging to a different patient.
The Delta State branch of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has formally disowned a histology report circulating online and attributed to relationship coach Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO. In a statement signed by Chairman Israel Adaigho and Secretary Usamah Hannah on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, the association revealed that the document had been fraudulently altered from an original result issued to a different patient. According to the NMA, the report was originally produced on May 9, 2025, by Xinus Medical Diagnostics in Asaba for a patient identified as Mbara Deborah, following a referral for a confirmatory breast cancer test. “Xinus Medical Diagnostics is located in Asaba, Delta State and did not at any time issue any report to Blessing Okoro,” the statement read.
The association’s intervention followed a clarification from the facility’s proprietor, O.A. Odigwe, a consultant pathologist, after the manipulated report went viral as part of Okoro’s recent cancer aid solicitation. The NMA explained that the diagnostic center was contacted in May 2025 by a private hospital in Asaba to conduct the test for its actual patient, Deborah. “The test was done and the result issued to the referring doctor as a case of breast cancer on the 9th of May, 2025,” the association noted. It further highlighted that the original, unedited version of the result—bearing the correct name—had already been made available online by the law firm Allen Juris Law. “The result online from the law firm is the original version issued to the patient through her hospital,” the NMA added.
The medical body emphasized that this public clarification was necessary due to the sensitive nature of the altered report and its current use in the public domain. By confirming that the diagnostic path was entirely unrelated to the relationship coach, the NMA aimed to protect the professional integrity of its members and the diagnostic facility involved. “In view of what the altered report being paraded by Blessing Okoro is now being used for,” the association stated, members of the public “should therefore be guided accordingly.” This official debunking adds a significant layer of professional scrutiny to the ongoing controversy surrounding Okoro’s recanted stage 4 cancer claims.
