Elon Musk has returned to the political scene after a three-week silence, launching fresh attacks on Donald Trump’s key legislation and mocking Iran’s Supreme Leader.
“The latest Senate draft bill will destroy millions of jobs in America and cause immense strategic harm to our country!” Musk posted on X, calling the bill “political suicide for the Republican Party.” The legislation, which includes cuts to social programs and clean energy, is slated for Senate debate on June 29.
Musk’s move renews tensions with President Trump, following their public fallout on June 5. Musk previously headed the controversial Department of Government Efficiency, which damaged Tesla’s reputation and profits.
On foreign affairs, Musk taunted Ayatollah Khamenei after he warned Israel of consequences, posting: “Is America the Great Satan or the Greatest Satan?”
With a $367 billion fortune, Musk’s return signals continued political influence both at home and abroad.
