Sunday Igboho has denied targeting any ethnic group, insisting his security campaign is aimed solely at criminals terrorising South-West communities.
Sunday Igboho isn’t backing down — but he wants one thing clear: this isn’t about ethnicity. Through his spokesperson Olayomi Koiki, the Yoruba nation activist denied claims that his security push targets any particular group, after the Concerned Fulani People of Nigeria asked President Tinubu and Governor Makinde to rein him in, Tribune Online reports.
Igboho dismissed the accusation as baseless, insisting his real target has always been kidnappers, killers, rapists and bandits terrorising Yoruba communities — regardless of who they are. His message: identify, arrest and prosecute criminals, full stop, no matter their ethnicity, religion or politics.
He also gave a nod to security agencies for their efforts and called on Nigerians to back tougher action against criminal networks.
