TheCable reports that police filed an eight-count charge against Adeniyi Adeyemi and two others over alleged forgery and impersonation linked to a purported presidential promotion council.
PFIPC FORGERY CHARGES
The Nigeria Police Force has filed an eight-count charge against Adeniyi Adeyemi, convener of the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, PFIPC.
According to TheCable, Adeyemi and two others identified only as Femi and Anu, both said to be at large, are accused of forgery and impersonation.
The charges:
- Conspiracy — Alleged conspiracy to commit forgery.
- Appointment letter — Alleged forgery of an appointment letter purportedly signed by Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila.
- Letterhead papers — Alleged forgery of presidential letterhead documents.
- Land/office request — Alleged forgery of a request for land and office collaboration across 36 states.
- False impersonation — Alleged false claim to be director-general of the PFIPC.
- Office space request — Alleged forgery of a request for office space from the State House.
- Staff account approval — Alleged forgery of a request for staff account approval.
- Take-off approval — Alleged forgery of take-off approval for the Presidential Economic Advisory Council/PFIPC.
TheCable reports that Adeyemi is expected to appear before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
