UK jails Ghanaian bank robber Kwabena Kissi for four years

Peoples Gazette reports that Kwabena Kissi was jailed in the UK for stealing £117,000 from a London bank while disguised as a security guard.

BANK THIEF JAILED

A UK court has sentenced Ghanaian man Kwabena Kissi to three years and four months in prison for stealing £117,000 from a London bank.

According to Peoples Gazette, Kissi, 40, was sentenced on Thursday at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

Prosecutors said he entered a Santander branch wearing his former G4S security guard uniform, collected the money and walked out.

The report said Kissi fled to Ghana the next day and remained there for four years, claiming he was caring for his sick mother.

He was arrested on March 26, 2026, after returning to the UK through Gatwick Airport.
