Three students from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) have been arrested in connection with the death of a 100-level student, Chinedu Christogonus. The victim was allegedly beaten to death by members of the university’s Man O’ War organization over accusations of stealing.
The incident sparked riots on campus. Police identified the suspects as Chukwuemeka Benedict, Kelechi Ikenna, and Obioma Anastasia. Investigations are ongoing, and the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department.
