The Oyo State Government has demolished a three-bedroom bungalow allegedly used as a hideout by kidnappers who abducted the younger sister of former Power Minister Bayo Adelabu and her twin sons. According to Vanguard, the building, located in the Lako community along the Aiyegun–Anaye Road axis of Ibadan, was pulled down on Monday by officials of the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, backed by police operatives.
The victims, Mrs Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, were kidnapped on June 3 before being rescued.
State authorities said the demolition sends a strong message to criminal elements and reflects Oyo’s determination to dismantle kidnapping networks and eliminate facilities used to aid criminal activities.
