NDLEA uncovers Lekki mansion used as drug stash house

NDLEA has dismantled a major Lagos drug network, seizing cannabis worth billions and arresting multiple suspects across coordinated nationwide operations.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has uncovered a major drug stash house in a Lekki, Lagos mansion containing 4,000 parcels of Loud, a strong strain of cannabis valued at over ₦5.8 billion. Operatives of the Special Operations Unit also recovered two Mercedes-Benz buses and packaging materials used for distribution. The agency said the raid targeted a property used as a hub for storing and preparing illicit drugs for retail circulation.

In another operation, officers arrested suspects involved in producing “skuchies,” a mix of cannabis and other substances, with 270 litres seized. NDLEA spokesman Femi Babafemi confirmed additional arrests across multiple states, including individuals caught with tramadol, skunk, and other drugs. The agency said its nationwide “War Against Drug Abuse” campaign continues alongside enforcement actions targeting trafficking networks.
