Sadisu Mahmud, the APC House of Representatives aspirant who claimed to be 30 years old and received commendations from President Tinubu and other senior officials, has been exposed as a 15-year-old through his birth certificate, NIN and passport records.
According to Peoples Gazette, Sadisu Mahmud, the diminutive APC aspirant seeking a House of Representatives seat for Sabon Gari Federal Constituency in Kaduna State, has been exposed as 15 years old despite claiming to be 30, with his birth certificate, National Identification Number and passport all confirming he was born on August 27, 2010.
Mahmud had gained national attention after appearing before the APC screening committee in Abuja, receiving commendations from Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Vice President Kashim Shettima and former Senator Shehu Sani, and had been photographed alongside President Bola Tinubu and Kaduna Governor Uba Sani.
Peoples Gazette said Mahmud presented a forged age declaration to the APC screening committee, falsely claiming he was born on August 2, 1995 in Sabon Gari, Zaria.
Under Section 65 of Nigeria’s Constitution, a candidate must be at least 25 years old to contest a House of Representatives seat.
