A Kaduna High Court has rejected Nasir El-Rufai’s third bail application after the National Hospital disowned the medical report he submitted.

A Kaduna State High Court has dismissed a fresh bail application filed by former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai in the ICPC’s criminal case against him, according to Daily Post.
Justice D. H. Khobo rejected the former governor’s third bail request, filed on medical grounds. El-Rufai had submitted a report allegedly from the National Hospital, Abuja, claiming advanced metastatic prostate cancer requiring specialised treatment unavailable in Nigeria. But the hospital denied issuing the document, saying it had no record of treating him and that the report lacked management approval.
The court ruled the document’s credibility was compromised, though it ordered the ICPC to grant El-Rufai access to doctors and medical facilities in Nigeria during trial.
