Lagos to the world: 10 Nigerian tech brands making waves globally

A new Nairametrics report shows 10 Nigerian tech companies, led by Paystack and Flutterwave, are scaling globally as Lagos cements its status as Africa’s top startup hub.

Nigeria’s tech scene has stopped thinking local — it’s playing global.

According to Nairametrics, Lagos has become one of Africa’s strongest startup engines, pulling in more than $6 billion in foreign funding between 2019 and 2024 and producing some of the continent’s biggest success stories.

The report names 10 made-in-Nigeria brands now scaling worldwide: Paystack, Flutterwave, Interswitch, Moniepoint, SeamlessHR, Kuda, Moove, LemFi, Paga and Reliance Health.

Paystack leads the charge — acquired by Stripe in 2020 for over $200 million, it now plugs Nigerian payment tech into global commerce. Flutterwave has spread across more than 30 African countries, processing payments for major international firms. Moniepoint, a heavyweight in agent banking, has pushed trillions of naira through its systems.

The rest aren’t far behind. LemFi serves migrants across multiple continents, Kuda is chasing the African diaspora, Moove finances mobility entrepreneurs from Africa to Europe and Latin America, and Reliance Health is pushing healthcare access well beyond Nigeria’s borders.

Fintech, healthtech, HR software, mobility finance — whatever the sector, the message is the same: products built in Lagos can travel, compete and win on the world stage, Nairametrics reported.
