LA Stadium Workers Threaten Strike Ahead of World Cup
Workers at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, represented by Unite Here Local 11, have voted to authorize a potential strike during the upcoming World Cup.
The union, comprising 2,000 food and beverage staff, is demanding better pay and assurances that federal immigration agents will not enter the venue.
Ninety-six percent of workers approved the strike authorization, giving them the power to walk off the job as the tournament approaches.
