I’m ready to die for Nigeria — Obi declares commitment to nation

NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi declares he’s ready to die for Nigeria as he demands one leader take charge of fighting insecurity.

Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress for 2027, isn’t mincing words about Nigeria’s security crisis. Speaking to Nevon Media on Tuesday, in remarks reported by Peoples Gazette, Obi insisted one person must take charge of the fight against insecurity, declaring, “If you’re ready to live, you must be ready to die. If you’re not ready to die, go home.”

Asked point-blank whether he’d die for Nigeria, his answer was simple: yes, even if it meant rushing home from abroad the moment war broke out. The former Anambra governor said he holds no other country’s passport and refuses to talk elections while Nigerian children remain trapped in the bush, vowing he’d rather “go there and die with them.”
