Sheikh Ahmad Gumi says nobody can stop him from visiting any part of Nigeria after criticism trailed his November 2025 Ibadan appearance. Gumi said he attended as a representative of northern Islamic scholars, not at the invitation of South-West Muslims. The Punch reports he also rejected claims tying his visit to Oyo’s sharia controversy and local politics in Nigeria today.
