Prisoner Transfer Deal Struck
Nigeria and Ethiopia have signed an agreement to transfer over 100 Nigerian prisoners serving sentences in Ethiopia back to Nigeria. Foreign Affairs Minister Bianca Ojukwu-Ogbegwu finalized the pact in Addis Ababa. The move aims to bring citizens home amid concerns over prison conditions and previous deaths. The deal follows prolonged diplomatic efforts, with Nigeria determined to secure the welfare and repatriation of its nationals.
