Former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, has acquired the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship nomination form for the 2027 Kebbi State election. Malami stated his decision to contest stems from concerns over rising insecurity, poverty, poor healthcare, and economic hardship. He criticized the current administration for misplaced priorities amid what he described as a dire humanitarian and governance crisis in the state.
