Southampton F.C. reached the FA Cup quarter-finals after Ross Stewart scored a stoppage-time penalty to seal a 1–0 upset victory over Fulham F.C..
Championship side Southampton F.C. advanced to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup after defeating Fulham F.C. 1–0 at Craven Cottage on Sunday. Ross Stewart scored the decisive goal from the penalty spot in stoppage time after Finn Azaz was fouled by Joachim Andersen.
The result marked a major upset for Fulham manager Marco Silva, who made nine changes to his lineup following a Premier League defeat earlier in the week. The victory also extended Southampton’s unbeaten run to 10 matches in all competitions and secured their first FA Cup quarter-final appearance since 2022.
