Former PDP Deputy National Chairman, Chief Olabode George, has disagreed with Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s call for security chiefs to eliminate terrorists within 90 days or resign.
Speaking to Vanguard, George argued that responsibility for Nigeria’s worsening insecurity rests squarely with President Bola Tinubu as Commander-in-Chief, not the Service Chiefs. According to him, any ultimatum should be directed at the President, who appointed the military leadership and has the authority to retain or dismiss them.
George described the country’s security situation as alarming, citing recent kidnappings and attacks across Nigeria. He urged Tinubu to convene retired military commanders, intelligence experts and serving security chiefs to overhaul the nation’s security architecture.
“The buck stops at the President’s table,” George said, insisting Nigerians deserve swift and decisive action against terrorists and bandits, Vanguard reported.
