Fresh controversy has erupted over the abduction of students and teachers in Oyo State, with Paul Ibe, media adviser to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, calling on security agencies to invite Sunday Igboho for questioning.
As Punch reports, Ibe said the Department of State Services and other security agencies should take advantage of Igboho’s claim that he knows politicians allegedly sponsoring kidnappers in the South-West.
Igboho had recently warned that he could expose those behind the criminal activities if they failed to stop. Reacting, Ibe argued that any information capable of helping authorities rescue the victims and dismantle kidnapping networks should be urgently investigated.
He also questioned the Federal Government’s response to the abduction of schoolchildren in Borno State, urging equal attention to insecurity across the country.
