ADC spokesman Bolaji Abdullahi has contradicted Peter Obi’s defection narrative, asserting that the party favoured Obi above all other aspirants and that its legal challenges are minimal.
The African Democratic Congress has pushed back against Peter Obi’s reasons for defecting to the Nigeria Democratic Congress, with National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi insisting the party treated Obi better than any other aspirant.
Speaking on Arise Television, Abdullahi acknowledged the significance of losing Obi and Kwankwaso but denied the party was crippled by litigation, saying only three cases currently existed.
“I can tell you that none of the aspirants and leaders have been favoured like Peter Obi,” he said.
He also questioned Obi’s change of position on fielding multiple presidential candidates, saying: “Obi said himself that once we present two candidates against President Tinubu, we have given him a chance. I wonder what has changed.”
