The Nigerian movie industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of popular Yoruba actor Okiki Adeshina, widely known as Janmole. According to TheCable Lifestyle, the actor died from injuries sustained in a tragic road accident.
The sad news was announced by Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin and president of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), in an Instagram post on Tuesday. He prayed for the repose of the actor’s soul and asked God to comfort his family, friends, and colleagues.
Tributes have continued to pour in from fans and fellow actors, many describing Adeshina as talented, humble, and cheerful. The actor was known for his roles in several Yoruba films and had recently gained popularity as a TikTok content creator.
