NPF Not Disbanding Amid State Police Creation, Says IGP Disu
Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu has allayed fears among operatives regarding the establishment of state police, assuring that the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) will not be disbanded. Speaking in Dutse, Jigawa, Mr. Disu clarified that the reform aims to strengthen policing by creating community-focused structures while maintaining a robust national institution. He emphasized that existing ranks, employment, pensions, and rights remain protected.
